OK, I've got an idea.
Instead of spending our lives protesting as half of America deports Mexicans; threatens African Americans; strives to keep women poor, barefoot, and pregnant; exploits workers; starves the old people; beats up Queers; invades foreign countries; steals our tax dollars; spends the country into oblivion; denies us all affordable healthcare; poisons our environment; trashes the infrastructure; thumps the Bih-bul at us; kills the polar bears; snoops in our email; breaks into our houses; makes up "news;" cheats in elections; passes really stupid laws; makes crappy consumer goods; steals our 401(Ks); arms people to slaughter school kids and mall shoppers; tortures folks and lies about it; builds very expensive border fences (as if), refuses to regulate criminal businesses, and marches around in sheets, how about we just get rid of Republicans?
There. Problems solved.

Well, not quite. I'm guessing a great deal of that goes on no matter WHO is in power, Republicans notwithstanding. Ugly tactics, to be sure, but I would offer that most of the folk in the DC way of being in the world are there to perpetuate their being there and would do just about anything to accomplish that. Not a huge amount of proof that Republicans are the only evil force in this country (the world)!
Hi, Liana, and thanks for commenting.
Well, I haven't seen anything quite like this crowd, or read anything that suggests anywhere near a close approximation since the 1920s. I'll agree that humans are flawed, all of us, but will hold to my view that this generation of Republicans, unlike their predecessors, has accomplished horrors heretofore unimagined for the USA. I give you flagrant abuse of the Constitution, lying to the electorate, throwing elections, spying on Americans, using the Justice Department for political witch hunts, building networks of privatized detention centers, mobilizing a "Christianist" private militia, channelling billions of taxpayer dollars to cronies, sitting quiety aside as Iraq's history and culture are plundered and our aid is diverted to domestic and international fraud, writing willful destruction of the environment into policy, suppressing science, breaching the wall separating church and state . . . . Show me one eight-year administration in the history of the USA that has come close to this record of treason and corruption.
Come back soon.
All the best,
Pico
