See my short post over at Citizen Orange updating earlier reports of the North Carolina Attorney General's recent decision to bar children of undocumented immigrants from NC colleges.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Department of Fathe, er, Homeland Security doesn't actually require such schools to track students' immigration status.
Therefore, now, according to a report in The Chronicle of Higher Education, May 10, such students are not necessarily barred.
As I note over at CO, I'll be really surprised if this ICE opinion doesn't attract unwanted attention from the always-wrong Right. After all, they just can't resist even a tiny, symbolic opportunity to convert hardworking, promising new US residents into lifelong bitter enemies.
