Is anyone else out there bothered by the statement from Bush's homeland security advisor, Frances Fragos Townsend, that Bin Ladin is "virtually impotent"?
Does it remind you, too, of Bush's "Bring it on!" -- another careless taunt for which neither Townsend nor Bush will lose any skin--or eyes, or limbs, or life?
Does it seem all the more reckless because the taunt is a sexual metaphor coming from a woman in a position of power--because it is a rhetorical counterpart to things we saw from Abu Ghraib?
Does it seem accurate? Are you persuaded?
If he's "impotent," if all he can do is shoot videos in a cave, can our troops come home now? Have we "won"? Are we done?
Just wondering.
