Thank God for the few of you who take the time to comment. You keep me sane. And honest. And thinking.
I want more of you. So I'm asking: Is it me or is it a problem to comment using Blogger's default commenting tools? Say something, somebody! Please! Let me know what I can do to get some dialog around here.

My blog also suffers from lack of comments, although my stat tracker confirms that people are hitting my site and even following multiple links that I provide. I see also that I have regular readers. Because of this, I make an effort to put up comments. When I don't, it's usually because all I can say is "Right on, Pico!"
I encourage Pico's readers to comment. These are well-written, informed essays, but it's always valuable to hash out the subtleties and to hear how these things affect people in different parts of the country.
Don't fret, you have the same problem as liberal talk radio - few thinkers who can engage. At least some conservatives are reading your blog. :) Oh, and commenting was easy.
Dear Morning Angel, you give me hope. Thank you.
I've just been to your blog, Rivergarth, to discover "Allah Hoo" for the first time, and the variety of phenomena that it seems to represent. Thank you. I hope folks who visit Pico will visit your intriguing blog!
Yes, indeed: "It's always valuable to hash out the subtleties and to hear how these things affect people in different parts of the country"--or the world. Thanks for the focus and the encouragement.

Dear RWR,
What's your blog? Maybe I'll return the favor.
Your comment reminded me of the good old adage, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." There's a lot of that going around. But you're welcome here as long as you play nice. Thanks for the feedback about the comment tool especially.

I've been reading routinely on my Google Reader. Challenging and well written posts. I have only been commenting on a couple of blogs whose authors have also commented on mine. I'll try to click on over to your actual site and comment from time to time. Your posts certainly deserve it in my opinion.
Dear Mr. Peterson,
What a great comment. I thank you.
Please email me at picodegallo@cox.net and tell me your blog's name. I want to visit and promise to comment.
Thanks for taking the time to write.

Pico -- I love your blog and will start commenting more often!
Dean Anon,
Thank you so much. Please do comment, and next time, tell me who you are! I don't bite. Well, I don't bite hard and I warn first.
(Just kidding. I'd love to hear from you and I promise to be on my best behavior!)
